Behavior Management
R&R provides behavior management services in the context of whole-person care.
What Is Behavioral Therapy?
We respect the individuals we serve and recognize their unique strengths as well as challenges. Our therapists expertly tailor strategies to best serve each participant’s needs and good life goals. Behavioral therapy strategies may include identifying replacement behaviors, practicing social skills in group settings, making simple changes to a client’s environment, learning new, healthier habits and training care providers and co-workers on better ways to respond to the individual.
R&R clinicians develop individualized behavioral support plans using a combination of theoretical models from classical conditioning and cognitive psychology. This means that our methods are backed by scientific data. We track the tools and strategies that work, and what doesn’t.
Behavioral therapy is an umbrella term for types of therapy that treat mental health disorders. This form of therapy seeks to identify and help change potentially self-destructive or unhealthy behaviors. It functions on the idea that all behaviors are learned and that unhealthy behaviors can be changed and healthy behaviors can be reinforced and strengthened.
Our focus is not on just helping our clients feel better. We help them to do life better!
